A little about Blush Social Media, Natalie and her story.
Starting her career as a hair stylist Natalie helped run the social media platforms. This is where her passion for social media marketing began.
She moved to London to pursue her career working for Pr companies whilst studying social media marketing.
I have been working with Natalie since August 2020 and the growth I have seen is mega plus everything I have learnt from her is invaluable.
Natalie is a BOSS BABE and so inspiring. Running her own business, helping others grow theirs and training so many people on so much. I honestly don’t know how she does it but she really does it so well.

What inspired you to start Blush Social Media?
I wanted take the stress away and help hair & beauty professionals build their business thorough social media without having to to anything other than the job they know and love.
Most beauty professionals love what they do but don’t know how to use platforms like Facebook & Instagram to grow their business. I know the struggles that they face with running a busy column daily then trying to post on their social media, so this is when
What is your favourite part of running Blush and having your own business?
Being in control of when I work and for how long. I have a 2 year old so my business fits around when him. I quit the 9-5 to follow my dream and be my own boss, but don’t get me wrong I work more hours now than I did with the 9-5 job but now I work longer hours because I love what I do.

If you could give some advice to other bloggers, creatives and business owners out there, what would it be?
Don’t give up it can take a while for your blog or business to take off. Some days it will seem like your never going to get to where you want to be but you just have to remember the reason why you started.
I always think of the quote – “Don’t compare your chapter 1 to someones chapter 20”.
What are your favourite social media or blogging resources?
The resources I use for both social media and blogging resources are Planoly for scheduling posts, canva for graphic design, Tailwind for scheduling Pinterest, Amazon associates & AWIN for affiliate links.
How do you set goals for yourself? Any tips on smashing goals?
Setting goals is so important I work by setting realistic goals each month based on my previous month.
For example if I averaged around 50 new followers in the previous month then my goal would be 75 as that is a more achievable than setting myself an unrealistic goal of 100 followers.
The reason for this is if I reach my goal and exceed it then that’s a huge win for me but if I set an goal thant isn’t achievable then it will effect my mind set in a negative way and that mindset is harder to overcome.
Tip – Set goals that are achievable but still push yourself to work harder.
How do you stay motivated through the ups and downs of having a business?
We all have bad days if I’m feeling unmotivated or writers block then I may take a night off or a few hours away from work to give myself a break. I might go for a walk, have a bath or read a book (not on my phone) these moments give your mind a break and ideas or thoughts can flow naturally.
I always make sure that the next day I get up, show up and focus on my reason why.

What advice would you give to anyone thinking about starting a business?
Start now !! There will always be something that will make you like your not ready, like you haven’t found the perfect domain name or your websites not perfect.
These things will hold you back forever if you let it.
When I started a few years ago I had a website called Nat Dixon Hair it was a blog all about hair which later developed into Chic Style Collective a French Inspired Fashion & Beauty Website.
Where do you see blush social media in 5 years time?
I have huge plans for my business over the next few years but my main goal is to have a team of people that are strong females wanting to help, inspire and empower other women.
In a beautiful Blush pink office of course.

Love this post! I started my blog this week and I need to remember that results come with consistency and hard work – not instantly! ❤️
