As a plus size, curvy gal I can really appreciate what a tough time warm holidays and summer heat can be for us! SO I have been on the hunt, finding flattering fashions, skirts that actually cover our arses and saving our thighs from demonic chub rub!
Its not easy dressing for hot weather when your thighs hate being near each other and A LOT of clothes & fashions tend to be designed with much more petite bodies in mind. A HUGE pet hate of mine is a clothing brand which say they offer Plus Size or Curvy sizes… but the clothes are just literally the exact same pieces but made into bigger sizes. It aint that simple with alot of styles. SO, this summer so far I have tried and tested a bunch of items, I have found my FAVES and now I am now going to share them with YOU so you can be prepared for a awesome holiday feeling fit, comfortable and ready to take on the world!!

Dresses
These are my top picks for gorgeous, summery, flattering dresses perfect for curvy girls and plussize babes! Fitting in all the right places and super comfy in hot climates! Patterns, prints and colours GALORE here, as someone who is more than comfortable with a mostly black wardrobe, this year I pushed myself to add only colours and prints and wow did I find some gorgeous ones… the mint ruched mini from Missguided and the orange ASOS design dress are my FAVOURITES I have to admit, but all are gorgeous.
Trousers & Jumpsuits
Perfect choices for the beach, for by the pool, for dinner and for heading out out… no plus size holiday essentials list would be complete without a gorgeous jumpsuit or 5!! The YUM! Curves tropical jumpsuit is such an incredible print and fits a dream to curves. AND the ASOS design beach trousers with the split sides makes me feel like a GENIE and I am here for it. Thank me later…
Skirts
Must have skirts for anyone, but these fits especially have been my go too this year! I bloody love a skater skirt, showing off the waist and staying loose around my belly and hips, personally I LOVE THIS and find it really flattering, plus they keep you really cool in the heat! Or how about the Nasty Gal maxi skirt with splits, such a sexy little number to dress up any look, throw on over a bikini and head to a pool party.
Playsuits
Light, flowy, breezy playsuits for everyone. These 4 are COMFY AF but also stylish as hell, the missguided off shoulder print might be my favourite… because the print if gorgeous and I love the off the shoulder look, but the others are very close behind. Pair these with a belt for a synched waist or go loose and flowy for a casual, light look.

Oh, this was fantastic! As a fellow curvy gal and chub rub club, i can’t thank you enough! I love dresses but the idea of wearing them really puts me off for the same reason, but I started wearing bike shorts under and they work magic! Love the sunflower dress and really need to invest in more biker shorts!! x

Your sense of style is fabulous. So thank you for sharing some of your favorites. I have challenges with clothes because I am short and an average waist size. In the cooler weather, I enjoy a great pair of leggings and an oversized sweater with a cowl neck. My favorite!
